Problem:
The DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) function of the LAUNCH X431 PRO ELITE is not working. When I selected “Regeneration of Diesel Particulate Filter” from the function menu and followed the instructions correctly—”Ignition ON and Engine Stopped; Command NOW Waiting Push Start”—the device stopped executing the function, and nothing happened.
Suggested Solution:
1.Retry the Operation:
Attempt the process a few more times. If the steps are correct but the function still fails, it’s possible that the DPF is severely clogged.
2.Understand the DPF Regeneration Function:
Over time, diesel carbon particles accumulate in the DPF, reducing its efficiency.
The regeneration function causes the engine to run at high speed, using high-temperature exhaust gases to burn off these particles and restore the DPF to normal functionality.
3.Inspect and Clean the DPF:
Disassemble the DPF and check its condition.
If there is a thick layer of carbon buildup, simple heating methods might not be sufficient to clear it.
Recommendation: Clean the DPF manually or using specialized equipment.
4.Perform a DPF Reset and Regeneration:
After cleaning the DPF, use the DPF Reset function on the X431 tool to recalibrate the system.
Then, execute the DPF Regeneration function again.
