The new LAUNCH X431 PAD V is equipped with Smartlink C, which has the function of diagnosing heavy trucks. For example, you can use LAUNCH X431 PAD V in Scania for Cylinder Deactivation Test. We'll show you how to do this next.
Note: X431 PAD V + Smartlink C can support 85+ HD brands, suitable for heavy-duty (Class 4 to 8) and medium-duty trucks (such as heavy trucks, city buses, bulldozers, excavators, etc.). Just purchase the HD software, no HD module is required.
First, Device Connection Vehicle OBD Diagnostic Port.
The following steps are performed on the X431 PAD V device: Open X-431 HD APP.
Click on [Local Diagnostis], in the "Manufacturer" column select [Scania].
Confirm the software version (V15.70), and click [OK].
Select [CAN Automatic Identification].
Click on [System Scan] for a full vehicle checkup.
X431 PAD V will diagnose the vehicle, and the [System List] column will display more detailed information.
Click on [Enter], and clink on [OK].
Enter the options in order, path: Special Function -> Check (Function Test) -> Cylinder Deactivation.
Vehicle status: Not activated -> activated.
In this interface, you can operate the cylinder, for example: Select [Cylinder 1], Click on [Close Cylinder], and click on [Open Cylinder].
