If Nissan vehicle displays DTC: "P181F-01" during scanning, it can be resolved using the LAUNCH X431 diagnostic tool. First, you need to perform the Unit Characteristics Writing function, and then clear the fault code. This article will explain how to do this.
Function Description:
After replacement of control units, there is related DTC: P181F-01 Calibration not completed. In this case, you need to execute this "Unit Characteristics Write" function.
Attention:
1. If the "DTC Confirmation Step" has been performed previously, be sure to turn the ignition switch to the OFF position and wait for at least 10 seconds before performing subsequent tests.
2. The 12-digit code written must be on the rear axle of the car, as shown in the following figure.
Diagnostic device used: LAUNCH X431 PAD V ELITE (X431 PRO series and PAD series can also refer to this step).
Software Requirements: Nissan V44.70 and later version
Test Vehicle Module: NISSAN X-TRAIL 2023 T32
Operation process:
Connect the vehicle to the X431 PAD V, and then operate on the PAD V. Choose [Local Diagnosis], and then choose [Nissan] to enter the menu.
Choose [Manually Select -> Far East -> People's Republic of China -> X-TRAIL -> T32 -> 01/2023-] in sequence to enter the full vehicle system, and click [Smart Detection] to scan the full vehicle systems.
Choose [System List] and then choose [All Wheel Drive (AWD)/4 Wheel Drive (4WD) System].
Choose [Read Fault Code]. There is DTC P181F-01 Calibration Not Completed. The unit characteristics writing function needs to be performed.
Exit the DTC reading interface. Choose [WORK SUPPORT].
Choose [Unit Characteristics Write].
Confirm the prompt information and click OK to enter the next step.
Click [Unit Characteristics Write] and the interface for entering the set value will appear.
After entering the 12-digit unit characteristic code on the rear axle of the car, click [Start] to execute the unit characteristics writing function.
After the unit characteristics writing function is executed, click OK to return to the special function interface.
After the unit characteristics writing function is executed, clear the DTC and read the DTC again.
