Does the LAUNCH X431 Support Motorcycle Diagnosis? The answer is yes, the LAUNCH X431 series (vehicle diagnostic tools) supports motorcycle diagnostics with a special upgrade. Devices like the X431 V, X431 V+, X431 PRO, and X431 PAD series equipped with V5.0 hardware or later can read and clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), view data streams, run actuation tests, and perform special functions specifically for motorcycles.
To enable motorcycle diagnostics on your device, you'll need the LAUNCH Motorcycle Diagnostic Connector Kit 2.0 with Renewal Card. This kit includes a variety of connectors for different motorcycle brands and a software activation card that unlocks the motorcycle diagnostic feature on your X431 tool.
What's Included in the LAUNCH Motorcycle Diagnostic Connector Kit 2.0?
The kit includes the following components:
- Diagnostic connectors for brands like Honda, Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Harley-Davidson, Ducati, Indian, Polaris, Victory, and Euro5-compliant motorcycles.
- Renewal Card: This card includes a 24-digit PIN code that you’ll use to activate the motorcycle diagnostic function on your device.
The kit is compatible with the following LAUNCH X431 models equipped with V5.0 hardware and later versions:
Note: Devices with V4.0 hardware or earlier cannot support the motorcycle diagnostic function. For example: X431 V+ 4.0.

How to Purchase and Activate the Motorcycle Diagnostic License
Purchase the Kit:
Buy the LAUNCH Motorcycle Diagnostic Connector Kit 2.0 with Renewal Card from an authorized retailer, like x431shop.eu. The 24-digit subscription PIN code will be included in the package.
Activation Process:

- Open your LAUNCH X431 device, and go to the Mall.
- Select Software Store > Other Software Packages > Motor Bike Package > Subscription Renewal Card Pay.
- Confirm your selection and tap Subscription Renewal Card Pay.
- Enter the 24-digit PIN code from the card, and confirm.
- Once successfully activated, your order status will show as "Paid."
Update the Software:

- After activation, go back to the main menu, select Software Update, and download the motorcycle software.
- Wait until the installation completes. Your device will now be ready for motorcycle diagnostics.
Device Connection:
- Connect the appropriate adapter from the connector kit to the motorcycle model you’re diagnosing. For example, to diagnose a Harley-Davidson XL1200 Sportster, use the X431 PAD V and the included Harley-specific connectors.
