As an ASE certified technician with 27 years of experience and many many scan tools I can easily say this is an impressive tool.
The features of this tool is really where it stands out. The resets and configuration function of this tool make this really worth the money. The crp919e will reset oil life percentage, battery renewals, diesel particulate filters, sunroofs, coding for injectors, window resets, abs brake bleeding, steering angle resets, and those are just a few of the capabilities. In addition to that it is still a full featured scan tool that will read and erase codes read the data stream perform actuation tests so that you can test individual components quickly. It will also perform certain levels of PMI (programmable module installation) which is where the tool will get the information from the old module and write that information on to the new module. Big name brand scan tools that cost thousands of dollars will not complete all of the things that this tool will do.
The hardware is also impressive for this tool. It is a corded tool which means you will not be losing any Bluetooth dongles and it will be charging while you are using it. The 7-in screen displays text large enough to easily be read and the graphing is very good. The case on the tool has rubber bumpers so that it can survive being dropped from a reasonable height.
The software on the tool is also really well done. The main menu is organized really well and finding information is simple. After a vehicle is scanned you can produce a report and email it to yourself or someone else and it looks very professional. The menus on the tool are labeled properly and if you click on something many times it will have a dialog box that details what that test does and asks you if you want to proceed especially if doing so could cause a problem if done wrong.
It's easy to recommend this tool because it has a great feature set as well as good hardware.

The Launch X431 CRP919E was purchased so I could make code changes to my car. So far I have successfully customized the way my convertible top opens and closed, turned on backlighting for the cluster gauges, adjusted the number of times the turn signal flashes, and enabled teardrop for my wipers. I'm following instructions that I found on a Forum. The CPR919E has worked flawlessly and I plan to make additional modifications to my car and perform annual maintenance. I expect the Launch CPR919E will be a valuable tool going forward. If you're a novice like me, just make sure you find trusted sources to educate you on how to use the CPR919E as you can do serious damage to your car if you're not careful.

A note about the Seller (Kingbolen): I tried to redeem a Promotion "Receive 1 GIFT LAUNCH OBDII Extension Cable free when you purchase of a LAUNCH CRP919E offered by Kingbolen” but I couldn’t add it to my cart. I emailed Kingbolen just after placing the order. Within 45 minutes, I received a reply from them stating that they would send me the item. Excellent customer service!

This tool is very easy to use. everything is placed in easy to locate catergories.
It is also very simple to look at all the I/M monitors to be sure it has ran and passed all DTCs.
My biggest disappointment with this tool, Is that it is not wireless. DLC cord is not long enough to reach an engine compartment, or the rear of a vehicle for testing. I see that there is a DLC extension cable available from the seller also. It would be a wise investment to purchase this cord.
If you can live with a cord, I expect you to not be disappointed with this scan tool.
I also purchased the tire pressure monitor reset tool. I was able to activate and learn the tire positions on my GM vehicles.

At first unboxing, It comes in its own case, with extra storage provided in the case above. When it was first turned on the battery was at 97%. and easily prompted me through the setups required, After entering wifi settings, There were 57 updates available. I expected it to take a long time to update. It only took about 10 minutes. The tool was then ready to use.

This coding allows you to open and close the convertible top from your key fob and if you have entry & drive, to close your convertible top with the door handle.
Note that the door handle can only be used to put the top up. I could not get it to work to put the top down.

This coding also sets the windows to close after opening the top with the key fob. I corresponded with some 718 owners in the UK and Australia (who have this feature without coding) who confirmed that when they open their top with the key fob the windows close at the end of the cycle.

I would like the windows to completely close after opening the top with either the switch in the car, the key fob or inching mode. However, if the code to close windows after opening top is set to no, the windows stay at 3/4th open.

One other item I noticed testing it today is that neither the key fob nor the door handle worked with the car on. Probably not an issue in real life. However, I had the car on while testing and it took me a little bit to figure out why it was not working.

Note: If your windows close stay at 3/4th open rather than closing after opening the top with your key fob, try cycling the top up and down with the switch in the car and then try your key fob again.

Make sure the window position is working correctly (ie. windows are closing completely and not staying 3/4th open) before coding for touch and release of opening the convertible top (Item 7).

Additional Note: If you also code your windows to work with your key fob (item 14), your key fob will open and close your windows and not open or close your convertible top.

I really hit the lotto with this unit. I plugged this unit in and put it side by side with my buddy's Modus Elite. EVERYTHING THE SO UNIT DOES THIS UNIT DOES. TPMS, keys and fobs, adaptive resets, GRAPHING DATA, health reports, EVERYTHING. SO Modus $5k plus. Launch all in with the TPMS tool and the battery tester under $500. I'm so stoked with this unit.

LAUNCH X431 CRP919E Elite work well on my 2010 Mercedes C Class

 LAUNCH X431 CRP919E is a little annoying. But overall, the scanner is fast, well built, modern. 
I'm a tech of 18 years and head diagnostic tech at my shop. This mid level scan tool blew my expectations out the window.
