This tool is a very powerful tool. I’ve been working on cars for about twelve years, self taught and helped from other mechanically inclined friends. It’s a very friendly and easy tool to use for beginners and very powerful for those who have experience working with cars.

As I have not used every feature of this device yet, and am in the process of establishing myself and a business, I cannot yet give a FULL review of my Launch X431 PAD VII Pad 7 Elite , yet what I have used so far has filled me with confidence that all parts will work as intended and claimed by Launch (China), in fact it is precisely because this device is so well made, that I have decided to re-enter a business I had given up hope of ever being able to get back in to (due to how much vehicles these days are tied into software).

I have owned numerous scanners over the years, including a number of launch products. I have also used other scanners in shops I have been in. This scanner by far is the most advanced, intuitive, and capable scanner I have used.

The TPMS function works great and having the diagnostic history available is something I have never had but will enjoy. Vehicle coverage is good, in fact, way more than I will ever need. I highly recommend this unit as an affordable, user-friendly, capable unit that is better than most more expensive units I have seen come off of a tool truck. If you need a scanner, buy this one!

So far Launch X431 PAD VII Elite is faster and easier to use than some more expensive scanners we have. It takes less time to update and the battery lasts much longer than the others. It comes with additional cables and connectors in the hard case and a rugged cover for the scanner tool. Overall this is a great scanner and good value for the cost of the unit. Lastly, it comes with 2 years free update on the software.

I'm a professional mechanic for 20plus years and I have a few scanners but this scanner is better then some of my more expensive ones, note not all scanners do everything. but this ones is a lot faster and so much more easier to use. The battery life is great , and the topology is amazing. Highly recommend it.

They OS, tablet screen and functions are easy to use and it is much faster than the Autel I tried. For a home mechanic, it may be overkill but the price was right for me. It should pay for itself as I can do more maintenance on the cars without resorting to taking it to the dealer or a mechanic.
