After installing the software, the user of LAUNCH X431 XPROG3 has no response when connecting the device. This may be because the driver was not installed correctly. This article will introduce how to install the driver software of LAUNCH X431 XPROG3.
Note: This fault rarely occurs on WIN10 computers, but is more common on WIN7 computers. But WIN10 computers can also refer to this step to operate.
1. Connect the USB interface of LAUNCH X431 XPROG3 to the computer and connect the power to XPROG3.
Open the computer device manager, and you can see that there is a [CH554-CDC] device driver that is not correctly identified in the other device options
2. Select the [CH554-CDC] device driver, right-click, and select [Update Driver Software]
3. Select [Browse my computer for driver software]
4. Select [Select from a list of device drivers on my computer]
5. Select [Port (COM and LPT)] from the common hardware types, and click Next
6. Select [STMicroelectronics] from the manufacturer, select the latest version from the model, and click Next
7. Click [Yes] in the pop-up window
8. After successful installation, reopen the device manager and you can see [STMicroelectronics Virtual COM port], which means the driver has been successfully installed.
