Difference Between Static And Dynamic ADAS Calibration

• Dynamic ADAS Calibration, also known as mobile ADAS calibration, employs a hand-held device that is connected to the vehicle's systems. The vehicle is then driven a predetermined distance at a predetermined speed in ideal weather conditions. In order for the system to adjust to normal road conditions, the vehicle manufacturer will establish the distance and speed.

There is a difference between Static and Dynamic ADAS calibration. How to Activate ADAS Software on Launch X431 Scanners?

Take PAD VII as an example:

Go to ADAS function

Select Passenger Car

Select ADAS Calibration


Hit ACTIVATE

For this function it is necessary to use the ADAS calibration device produced by LAUNCH and activate ADAS software.

If you press “Activate”, PAD7 will ask to enter the ADAS activation card password.

ADAS activation card password can be found on the back of the activation card

Input password and press “ACTIVATE”


After activation, you will see ADAS menu
